The Wide Band Polarizer guarantees an extinction ratio above 30dB from 1280nm to 1640nm while maintaining extremely low transmission loss of the required polarization mode.

Phoenix Polarizers are manufactured in house using side-polishing techniques where a small portion of the cladding is removed to access the evanescent tail of the propagating wave in the fiber. The removed cladding is replaced with a material to facilitate the function required for the component.

The Wide band Polarizer is part of the Enhanced Polarizer range offering very high extinction ratios over a wide band of wavelengths while maintaining very low insertion loss.
